Lead Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the estimation process for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traditional estimating, strategic leadership, and client relationship development.
This role offers the opportunity to shape high-impact projects and drive excellence in project delivery. As a lead estimator, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with project goals.
- Develop detailed cost estimates from conceptual estimating through to first principles covering materials, labour, equipment, and overheads using industry-standard tools and first principles pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing and scope data.
- Provide guidance and support to junior estimators, fostering capability development within the team.
- Full current working rights for Australia.
- Experience in a Lead/Director-level role with estimating within transmission, mining, oil & gas, clean energy, or broader natural resources sectors; consultancy background is preferred.
- Proficiency in Candy, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Navisworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and bid documents.
