About Cultural Educator Role

Cultural Educators are integral members of our team, providing culturally informed training and education to medical professionals.

The role involves working closely with various stakeholders to develop and deliver cultural awareness training projects and workshops.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships with community leaders, health professionals, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

As a Cultural Educator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver cultural awareness training projects and workshops
  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, health professionals, and other key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of culturally informed policies and procedures
  • Mentor and support GP registrars in their training

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong personal responsibility and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of regional communities and traditional customs
  • Ability to engage and educate diverse audiences with sensitivity and respect
  • Experience in designing and delivering cultural awareness training
