About the Role

This Grade 2 Social Worker position is situated within the Acute Oncology Stream, providing clinical social work services to referred patients from various wards, including Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and Day Oncology Unit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing counseling to patients and families
  • Supervising junior social workers and students
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives or research
  • Working as a member of the multidisciplinary team

To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in Social Work, ideally with experience working in a healthcare setting. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
