Senior Human Resources Director

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Director to lead and oversee HR operations across several states in Australia. They will serve as the primary point of contact for HR matters, providing guidance to project teams and collaborating with other departments to optimize HR processes and drive business success.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and aligning the HR strategy within their regions, leading a large team of HR professionals, and providing expert guidance on complex employee relations issues. They will also present HR strategies and frameworks to clients, highlighting the company's commitment to workforce planning and effective HR management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy: Define and align the HR strategy within your regions
  • HR Team Management: Lead a large team of HR professionals
  • Employee Relations: Primary escalation point for HR teams, offering expert guidance on complex employee relations issues
  • Client Interface: Present HR strategies and frameworks to clients, highlighting the company's commitment to workforce planning and effective HR management

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources or related field
  • 10+ years experience, with at least 5 in a leadership role
  • Ideally experienced working in an engineering, construction or manufacturing lead business so that you have the relevant ER/IR legislative knowledge
  • Exposure to managing operations spread across different regions/sites
