Job Title: Clinician (Speech Therapist Gr2)

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service.

The successful candidate will contribute to the developmental assessment, formulation, and provide case management and therapeutic support to children and young people from 0-25 years of age.

The position sits within the Developmental Assessment and Management Program (DAMP), which is part of the Neurodevelopmental Stream. The incumbent will work closely with parents and families to develop and implement individualised treatment plans that cater to each child's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and young people presenting with behavioural, emotional, psychiatric or developmental difficulties
  • Formulating and implementing individualised treatment plans
  • Providing case management and therapeutic support to children and young people
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience working with children and young people with social, emotional, learning and behavioural problems
