Children and Community Coordinator

Job Description:

The Children and Community Coordinator will be responsible for leading their own Outside School Hours Care service, providing quality before and after school care and holiday programs for children. This role requires excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with the local community.

As a coordinator, you will create engaging programs using industry-leading tools and mentor your team of educators to develop their skills. You will also manage compliance documents, administer tasks, and work closely with the Area Manager to ensure the success of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your own OSHC service, supporting local families with quality before and after school care and holiday programs.
  • Create engaging programs with industry-leading programming tools.
  • Mentor your team of educators to develop their skills and grow within the industry.
  • Manage compliance documents and other administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Engaging individual passionate about making a difference in children's lives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong, positive relationships.
  • Previous experience in the childcare/OSHC industry preferred but not essential.
  • Completed or in the process of completing an ACECQA recognised qualification, including studies in Teaching, Childcare, or Community Services.
  • Employee Working with Children's Check valid in the relevant state.
  • Willingness to obtain HLTAID012 First Aid in a Childcare Setting and National Criminal History Check.
