Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Acting Clinical Nurse to join our oncology day infusion unit on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

About the Role

  • Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred care.
  • Demonstrate professional practice as evidenced by adhering to professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and policies and processes.
  • Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students.
  • Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners using a customer service mindset to enable high quality patient outcomes.
  • Current registration with relevant authority.
  • 3 years' experience within acute environment.
  • 1-year minimum team leader or in-charge nursing experience (desirable).
  • Compliance with National standards.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
  • Passion for teaching educating and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres.

Requirements

  • Australian citizenship or residency.
  • Current registration with relevant authority.
  • 3 years' experience within acute environment.
  • 1-year minimum team leader or in-charge nursing experience (desirable).
  • Compliance with National standards.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
  • Passion for teaching educating and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres.
