Seeking a visionary Maritime Project Leader

At KBR, we are on the hunt for an exceptional maritime professional to spearhead our Defence business development activities in Western Australia.

As a key figure in our team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships within the market, providing expert technical guidance, and supporting the creation of winning proposals.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the maritime Defence industry, with a proven track record in project management, leading complex multidisciplinary projects, and working closely with the Defence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating strong relationships within the market and offering specialist technical advice
  • Supporting the development of compelling proposals and bid responses
  • Leading and mentoring a diverse group of engineers and support staff
  • Delivering bespoke solutions for clients, from feasibility studies to design and construction phase services

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for Australian Defence clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
  • Extensive professional experience in infrastructure sector designing and/or delivering Maritime projects
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, including leading large multidisciplinary projects with complex requirements
  • Experience working with the Defence sector and an understanding of how the Defence sector manages projects
  • Expertise in assessing, analysing, designing, and remedying maritime structures (wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, pontoons etc.)
  • Familiarity with maritime (Australian or other) design codes and guidelines in Australia and Asia
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and build effective project teams
