Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the day-to-day operations of a nursing unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration, and driving positive change within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and autonomy.
  • Oversee the coordination of clinical care and operational management of the unit, including staffing, resource allocation, and adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including motivating and inspiring others, building effective teams, and driving positive change.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels and fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Knowledge of contemporary healthcare practices, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in nursing and healthcare management.
