Workshop Leadership Opportunity

This permanent, full-time position is available in a sheet metal fabrication workshop, where you will lead a team of skilled craftsmen and women to achieve exceptional results.

As the leader of this workshop, your key responsibility will be to manage day-to-day operations to meet production schedules and maintain high quality standards. This involves coordinating the efforts of welders, fabricators, and other production staff to deliver products on time and to specification.

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven leadership experience in a similar workshop or production management setting. A solid understanding of welding techniques (MIG/TIG) and fabrication processes is essential, as is the ability to interpret technical drawings and job specifications.

  • Leadership skills with a focus on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of WHS compliance and quality assurance procedures.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or Kaizen is an advantage.
