
Surgical Nurse Specialist

This is a great opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team in the Surgical Inpatient Unit as an Enrolled Nurse. As part of this role, you will work collaboratively with patients, families, and carers to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
Our unit offers a high-acuity setting filled with clinical challenges and rich learning experiences. You will have the chance to work across all specialty areas of the unit on a rotating 7-day roster, with 8, 10, and 12 hour shift profiles available.
The successful candidate will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), including a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia-approved qualification for medication administration (IV administration included).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and policies.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong clinical communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork and professional development.
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2).
- Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia-approved qualification for medication administration (IV administration included).
- Previous experience in a surgical setting is desirable.
- Strong clinical communication skills, ability to use information technology effectively, and excellent interpersonal skills.
