About the Role

The Specialist Pharmacist - Cancer Care Specialist will provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across St Vincent's Health Australia and affiliated services for the defined specialty area of inpatient and outpatient Cancer Care.

This role will work closely with our Lead Pharmacist in Cancer Care to provide clinical services to inpatients and outpatients. The Cancer Care Pharmacy Team is part of the wider St Vincent's Health Australia pharmacy department, striving to uphold the organization's mission and values through dedication to patient care and focus on professional development and research.

The Specialist Pharmacist - Cancer Care Specialist will be an integral member of the St Vincent's Health Australia Pharmacy team, providing specialist clinical knowledge and skills for the pharmacy service. This role will work closely with Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions to maintain comprehensive pharmacy service across all operational hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient Cancer Care
  • Work closely with the Lead Pharmacist in Cancer Care to provide clinical services
  • Collaborate with the Cancer Care Pharmacy Team to maintain comprehensive pharmacy service
  • Provide specialist clinical knowledge and skills for the pharmacy service
  • Work closely with Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions to maintain comprehensive pharmacy service

Requirements

  • Current Pharmacy Registration with AHPRA with no scope on conditions of practice
  • Ability to meet the criteria set out in the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award for a Grade 2 Pharmacist
  • Experience and a demonstrated high level of performance, competence, expertise, skill, and application of clinical judgment in the provision of Cancer Care pharmacy services
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team and foster a positive workplace culture
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, excellent organizational and time management skills, and a high attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and education
