Pharmacist - Compounding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our Compounding Support team at MEDISCA AUSTRALIA PTY LTD. As a Compounding Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and guidance to our clients on compounding-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Formulation Development
- Develop and review formulations to meet client requirements.
- Verify chemical compatibilities, mathematical calculations, and therapeutics related to formulation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert support to customers on compounding-related queries.
- Work closely with the sales team to promote Medisca Australia's products and services.
- Develop expertise on equipment, devices, and Medisca bases to support sales efforts.
- Interpret and translate formulation worksheets and compile researched literature.
- Contribute to the development of pharmacist educational initiatives and pharmacy student internships.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in developing SOPs, policies, and procedures related to formulation development and approval.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement of the formulation database.
- Design and deliver training programs for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Answer questions related to past pharmacy experience.
- Continuously improve and redesign training activities based on advances in practice and technology.
- Provide technical training to the department on new industry developments.
- Contribute to editorial content, communications, and e-content.
- Liaise with professional organizations and government agencies.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical compounding industry (ideally 1 year+ experience in a compounding pharmacy lab).
- Experience in a lab setting (e.g., compounding, research and development).
- AHPRA Registered Pharmacist or Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences/Medical Sciences related discipline required.
- Knowledge of APC and RACGP criteria for CPD development.
- Excellent communication skills; fluent English (oral and written) required.
- Strong work ethic and judgment, empathy, and discretion in work.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional and positive image.
- Results-oriented and takes initiative with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
