Youth Mental Health Professional

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and their families/carers who are experiencing mental illness.
- Collaborate with consumers, their families and carers, and other stakeholders to promote mental health rehabilitation and recovery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing the unique needs of each child or adolescent.
- Provide education and support to families and carers on mental health issues and strategies for promoting mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with district policies and procedures.
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist.
- Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership with relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical Child and Adolescent Mental Health practice.
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
- High level communication skills with ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a current unrestricted drivers' licence and willingness to drive/travel as required.
