The Laboratory Supervisor position offers the ideal opportunity to oversee laboratory activities and drive success in a dynamic environment.

This role is part of our Northern Region Infrastructure Services Team, responsible for laboratory operations at our Cedar Creek site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop a team of laboratory professionals
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, risk management, quality control, and calibration requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve laboratory and production facility compliance
  • Design and implement laboratory mix designs and blends, as well as quarry R&D projects
  • Conduct compliance testing for samples of aggregate, soils, road base, and CTB materials
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Quarries Construction Laboratories, including NATA signatory status
  • Extensive knowledge of quarries, soils, and road materials, including research, evaluation, and data interpretation skills
  • Sound understanding of Queensland test methods and Australian standards for laboratories
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Questlab
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
