Overview

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is a leading emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be part of a team that delivers high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at AU$ 65,000 - 75,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, uniforms, and equipment.

Job Description

This role involves responding to fire and emergency incidents as part of a team, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through education activities, and developing competencies through regular drills and training courses. You will also contribute to incident reporting and general station administration.

Key Requirements
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
