About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding to fire and emergency incidents within your designated region. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety of people and property, providing a high level of service to the community.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Respond to fire and emergency incidents, working collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective emergency response.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through participation in community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.

What You'll Need

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies.
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
