About the Opportunity
Morgan Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Chief Safety Officer to lead our safety, health, and well-being initiatives across the organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing systems and processes that ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement in safety practices, and promote a culture of safety throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Provide strategic leadership on all aspects of safety, health, and well-being, ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented effectively and consistently.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety best practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Crisis Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement crisis management plans, including pandemic response strategies.
- Communication: Foster strong relationships with employees, managers, and external partners to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in safety leadership. You must have a strong understanding of safety management principles, risk assessment techniques, and regulatory requirements. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to influence and engage employees at all levels.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in safety roles within hospitality, FMCG, retail, or a similar environment.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk management, and reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage crisis situations, including COVID-19 response.

Salary Range:
AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
