Job Title: Business Growth Manager

About the Role: As a Business Growth Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business expansion across the commercial and industrial energy sector. You will oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement through to signed contract, and develop and present tailored solar and BESS solutions that align with client sustainability and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and Qualify New Opportunities: Explore and qualify new business opportunities across the commercial and industrial energy sector
  • Manage Sales Cycle: Oversee the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to signed contract
  • Develop Solar Solutions: Develop and present tailored solar and BESS solutions that align with client sustainability and financial goals
  • Prepare Proposals: Prepare and coordinate compelling proposals, bids, and tenders for solar and energy storage projects
  • Negotiate Contracts: Lead commercial negotiations and secure contracts in line with strategic objectives
  • Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including sustainability leads, CFOs, and operational teams
  • Collaborate Teams: Collaborate with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically and commercially viable
  • Monitor Pipeline: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline and regularly report on sales performance
  • Stay Industry Updates: Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, and market trends to inform strategy and positioning
  • Ensure Project Transition: Ensure smooth transition of signed projects to the delivery team, maintaining client confidence throughout the process

To Be Successful: To be successful in this role, you will need demonstrated success in business development or sales in the renewable energy, commercial solar, or battery storage sectors. You will have experience selling to commercial and industrial clients with a strong understanding of their operational and sustainability drivers. Skilled in managing complex sales processes, including tenders, financial modelling, proposal writing, and contract negotiation, you will also be able to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and commercially compelling way.
