Business Development Manager

Our Financial Services Group (FSG) National team specializes in the broking strategy and placement of all financial lines business across Aon's Mid-Market Private and Listed Clients.
Key Responsibilities
This varied and fast-paced role will require you to develop and grow new business opportunities across financial lines. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading engagement with potential clients through networking, referrals, pro-active marketing, presentations, and cold-calling.
- Building and growing an active sales pipeline of new opportunities.
- Supporting the existing financial lines team with sales activity within the financial institutions, professions, and mid-market (National) client groups.
- Assisting in achieving new business budgets and performance benchmarks.
- Working closely with the client leadership team to actively pursue new leads and opportunities.
- Updating and maintaining the key requirements of a CRM sales pipeline database.
- Engaging in all forms of communications and discussions on pipeline opportunities at both a State and National level.
- Assisting the Bid Management team on developing tender responses.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience and success in business development or sales management. Ideally, you will have gained this experience in Professional Services or Financial Services firms. You will be a creative, engaged, and solutions-focused thinker with a passion to take ownership and be proactive in client generation.
