
Volunteer Services Leader

The Volunteer Manager is a key leadership position responsible for managing and developing a team of volunteer coordinators. This role ensures alignment with organisational goals, provides strategic leadership, enhances volunteer program effectiveness, and contributes to workforce planning through innovative solutions.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Development: Management and mentoring of Volunteer Coordinators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Operational Alignment: Build relationships with Operational Managers to understand their priorities and site requirements, ensuring that volunteer services are aligned with organisational objectives.
- Risk Management: Oversight of Volunteer Systems to ensure compliance and risk mitigation, protecting the organisation from potential liabilities.
- Volunteer Engagement: Maximising volunteer engagement through training, mentoring, and communication initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive culture within the organisation.
- Mission Alignment: Commitment to HammondCare's Christian Mission and values, demonstrating a genuine understanding of the organisation's purpose and vision.
- Program Management: At least 4 years' experience in volunteer program management, with a proven track record of successful program delivery and evaluation.
- Relationship-Building: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
