Senior IT Operations Management Sales Specialist

At OpenText, we're seeking a skilled IT Operations Management Sales Specialist to join our team. This role will involve creating, qualifying, developing, and selling ITOM solutions to our clients. With a consultative sales approach, you'll lead with business value and engage both new and existing clients. Supported by a broad team of pre-sales solution consultants, you'll manage a defined territory, spanning multiple verticals and including large and mid-sized clients. Your software portfolio will include a combination of SaaS and on-premises solutions.

  • Value-based selling - identifying key drivers of value for the customer and developing unique value propositions.
  • Planning for success - demonstrating a structured, methodical approach to building and executing annual sales plans.
  • Orchestrating teams / working with partners - building and developing cross-company pursuit teams to engage prospects in strategic sales.
  • Good sales hygiene - providing accurate revenue forecasting and ensuring the CRM system is always up to date.

What it takes:

  • At least 5 years of proven software sales experience, with a demonstrable track record of over-achievement and new business wins.
  • Directly related previous work experience is a definite plus, including IT Service Management, Enterprise Service Management, AIOps, Network Automation, and Network Operations.
  • University or bachelor's degree; advanced university or MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in following a sales methodology, territory management, account development, and opportunity management.
  • Successful partner engagement experience.
