Obstetric and Gynaecology Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled medical professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care in a regional health service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist to deliver expert clinical care in antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and neonatal settings, including participation in the primary on-call roster.

You will perform and assist in major and minor gynaecological procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality surgical outcomes. You will also provide leadership in quality assurance and clinical governance within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service.

About You

  • You must hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent), with appropriate specialist qualifications, and be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), or an equivalent recognised qualification, is also required.
  • You should have excellent clinical decision-making, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safe, high-quality care.
  • You should be a strong communicator who works effectively in a multidisciplinary team and values collaboration, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
  • You should have experience working with Aboriginal consumers and communities, and a passion for delivering culturally responsive care.
