Job Opportunity

The Integration Aide is a crucial support role that helps deliver educational services to students. This position involves carrying out tasks in line with established guidelines, accepted practice, and school policies under close supervision and direction.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing routine assistance to teachers, including supporting the development of student routines
  • Facilitating communication between teachers and parents
  • Communicating with teachers on day-to-day matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
  • Offering basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, such as toileting, meals, and lifting
  • Assisting students to comprehend basic tasks and information through targeted communication
  • Addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting, aligned to school policy and procedure
  • Providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting
  • Supporting teachers in coordinating educational programs independently or under minimal supervision, including rostering and organizing the work of a team of aides

This role requires a sound understanding of basic technical and/or scientific principles, used to develop and adapt work methods and make judgements where there are clear guidelines and limited options.
