Senior Youth Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Youth Support Specialist to join our team at Launch Housing. This role involves providing high-level coordination and support services to young women or those who identify as female (16-25) who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness in Southeast Melbourne.

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver a range of flexible support services, including conducting comprehensive assessments, developing collaborative case plans, approaching and building networks of external service providers, and advocating on behalf of clients where agreed.

This includes working closely with clients to understand their needs, developing individualized plans to address these needs, and connecting them with relevant services and resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of youth housing and homelessness policy, context, and systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Experience in supporting people with complex challenges and support needs
  • High degree of initiative and analytical skills
