Job Description:

The Team Leader - Youth Support provides leadership and supervision to ensure best practice and quality outcomes for young people, their families and communities. The role involves supervising youth workers and teams within the Youth Support Portfolio who engage in activities such as one on one youth support, family work, group work, school-based work and mentoring.

The Team Leader will also provide strategic leadership and support for metropolitan networks and projects. This includes working closely with the Program Manager to achieve organizational goals and objectives.


About the Role:
  • Hours: 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE), Part Time
  • Fixed Term: until June 2026
  • Base Salary (SCHADS Level 6): $110,102.72 per annum (pro rata) plus Super and access to Salary Packaging

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising staff including leading and delivering youth focused services
  • Experience working with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Organisational and time management skills to plan and manage a work program
