Lark Business Advisory, a renowned accounting firm in Melbourne, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Public Practice, with a strong background in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for various entities.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Suitefiles, Practice Ignition, and Karbon is essential, as well as excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS for various industries, while maintaining seamless operations with offshore accountants.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving a productivity target of 80% average over the financial year
  • Reviewing and addressing queries on BAS, financial statements, and income returns prepared by offshore accountants
  • Communicating with clients regarding annual and ongoing work, resolving any issues that arise
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including invoicing and maintaining relationships
  • Collaborating with the Taxation & SMSF Manager to ensure accuracy in work and respond to review points
  • Liaising with team members and offshore accountants daily to ensure seamless operations
  • Handling matters with the ATO and other statutory authorities as needed

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have public practice experience and be proficient in developing strong working relationships with others at all levels of the organisation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and effective time management are also essential.
