Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heritage Consultant to lead the development and delivery of high-quality heritage projects.

This role involves managing complex proposals, conducting technical assessments, and collaborating with senior team members to achieve project excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Heritage Impact Statements (HIS) and Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs).
  • Conduct Aboriginal and historical heritage assessments, including field surveys and reporting.
  • Engage with Traditional Owner groups, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice on heritage compliance in NSW.
  • Conduct internal technical review and quality control of reports and proposals.
  • Produce accurate and complex technical deliverables, analysis, and reports.
Requirements and Experience:
  • Honours degree in Archaeology, Heritage Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in heritage consulting, focusing on renewables or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting fieldwork and stakeholder consultation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
