Community Support Worker

Job Overview: The role of a Community Support Worker is multifaceted and requires exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals in their daily lives.

As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the well-being of clients, supporting them with daily tasks, and facilitating community participation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in their daily routines, including meal preparation, personal care, and medication management.
  • Assist clients in engaging with community activities, promoting social interaction and a sense of belonging.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare workers and family members, to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Identify and address any emerging issues or concerns, seeking guidance when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry qualification (e.g., Cert III) and/or extensive experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Current driver's license, enabling safe transportation of clients.
  • NDIS worker screening clearance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • NNSW working with children check or willingness to obtain.
  • Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination, prioritizing client safety.
