We are seeking a Building Surveyor to join our team in Western Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to directors and senior consultants with respect to building proposals.

You will conduct fire protection surveys and audits of existing buildings, provide advice on access provisions, and prepare certification reports.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing timely support to directors and senior consultants.
  • Conducting fire protection surveys and audits.
  • Providing advice on access provisions.
  • Preparing certification reports.
  • Undertaking site inspections.
  • Assisting technical staff with queries and tasks.
  • Sourcing clients and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Ensuring familiarity with company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating eagerness to research complex issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant qualification in Building Surveying, along with industry experience and knowledge of the Building Code of Australia.
  • A valid Work Health and Safety qualification.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and registration as a Level 1 or Level 2 Building Surveying Practitioner.
  • Computer literacy, skilled in Microsoft Office and able to write detailed reports.
  • Expertise in PDF X-change and Bluebeam.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, able to negotiate with approval authorities and develop a network of contacts within the industry.
