Rail Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rail Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail equipment.

  • Detecting faults within components and inspecting suitability for reuse is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our fleet.
  • Operating power and pneumatic tools is an essential part of this role, requiring attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Performing daily service inspections and collecting oil and cooling samples from locomotives is vital to identifying potential issues before they become major problems.

In addition to technical skills, effective communication in written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule formats is also required. This includes the ability to provide clear instructions and training to other team members.

Requirements
  • A common-sense approach and motivation to achieve are essential qualities for this role.
  • A valid driver's license with experience operating heavy-duty vehicles is necessary.
  • Cross-skilling in locomotive and wagon maintenance practices is highly desirable.
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to adhering to all relevant regulations and standards is critical.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is required.
