As a Service Technician at Sandvik, you will support our customers on-site operations by carrying out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification
  • Leading, developing & mentoring a team, while implementing process improvements to increase workshop productivity and performance
  • Forward planning and adjusting to customer problems & supporting with addressing daily issues
  • Conducting pre-shift meetings
  • Planning, organizing, and distributing work within the workshop
  • Liaising with third parties and customers as necessary to ensure work flows smoothly
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and encouraging a strong safety culture
  • Striving for continuous improvement to the organization and efficiency of the workshop while ensuring quality is not diminished while achieving timeframes
  • Providing technical guidance and training to the workgroup as necessary
  • Ensuring that all parts are returned to allow for job completion
