">Accounting Manager Job Description">

The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in the financial management of our organization, utilizing their accounting expertise and professional judgment to accurately analyze and journalize accounting transactions. This position is responsible for completing monthly accounting responsibilities and assisting members of the accounting team as needed.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • Analyze and evaluate revenue, expense, and balance sheet data to ensure accurate financial reporting.">
  • Supervise assigned accounting staff through review of journal entries to guarantee proper accounting for underlying transactions.">
  • Verify accuracy of revenue and expenses to maintain fiscal integrity.">
  • Prepare and record journal entries for complex transactions, working independently to ensure timely completion.">
  • Review or prepare monthly G/L account reconciliations, including those for complex balance sheet accounts, to guarantee accuracy and completeness.">
  • Research and resolve G/L or other accounting discrepancies, interacting with branch managers or other departments to facilitate timely resolution.">
  • Ensure completion of month-end assignments in an accurate and timely manner, meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity.">
  • Perform variance analysis of financial statement accounts to identify areas for improvement.">
  • Understand and perform complex balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee accuracy and completeness.">
  • Work with direct reports to establish performance goals and objectives for each year, monitoring and advising on progress to enhance professional development.">
  • Complete additional general accounting duties or projects assigned by management.">
">Requirements and Skills:">
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.">
  • MBA or CPA certification, preferred.">
  • 4+ years of general accounting experience.">
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and proper application.">
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.">
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.">
