Job Title: Financial Capability Worker

About the Role:

This part-time opportunity is based in the Southwest and focuses on supporting clients experiencing financial hardship.

The successful candidate will provide information, money management skills, and coaching to help clients make informed financial decisions and build financial resilience.

Key aspects of this role include providing person-centred financial education and support by meeting clients where they are at, helping them build financial capability, and offering practical tools like budgeting and coaching.

Facilitating warm referrals to internal and external services ensures clients feel welcomed and supported, especially those new to service systems.

This is a part-time opportunity until 30 June 2026 and will be based in either Bunbury or Busselton.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups.
  • A well-developed understanding of financial literacy and resilience.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing financial support to clients in a coaching and mentoring setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with a diverse range of clients and organisations.
  • Ability to communicate with and respond to the cultural sensitivities required by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients.
  • Well-developed computer skills (MS Word, MS Outlook, client management system).
  • Hold or be working towards a vocational Certificate III in Community Services Work (desirable).
