Financial Capability Specialist Opportunity

At our organization, we are committed to supporting individuals and communities in achieving financial resilience. We are seeking a Financial Capability Specialist to join our team and make a positive impact on people's lives.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized financial education and support to clients, helping them build financial capability and make informed decisions about their financial futures. This will involve delivering workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions, as well as collaborating with other service providers to ensure seamless referrals and support.

This is a part-time opportunity that offers the chance to work with diverse client groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and those experiencing financial hardship. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial literacy and resilience, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working with marginalized and disadvantaged groups
  • A well-developed understanding of financial literacy and resilience
  • Proven ability to provide financial support and guidance to clients in a coaching and mentoring setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse clients and organizations
  • Ability to communicate with cultural sensitivity and adapt to diverse communication styles
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and client management systems
