Key Responsibilities- Provide expert technical input and support to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our asset management strategies for AusNet's transmission network.
- Oversee protection relays, control devices, and auxiliary systems, and contribute to the development of equipment standards and maintenance practices.
- Support the implementation of various asset management initiatives, including the development of strategic asset management plans.
- Collaborate with Network Operations to achieve capital and operational plans, and maintain and audit asset-related databases.
- Investigate and analyze equipment failures, draft reports, and create remedial actions.
- Participate in regulatory and internal audits as needed.
- Degree qualified in Engineering.
- Considerable engineering/asset management experience.
- Understanding of asset management practices, frameworks, and standards.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Expertise in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans.
- In-depth knowledge of protection, control, and automation devices and emerging trends.
- Experience with analysis and design software, relay software, DigSilent.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data-driven insights.
- Advanced reasoning skills and engineering judgment.
