Principal Rail Engineer

We are seeking a talented Principal Rail Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical design input, coordination and project delivery activities across major Rail projects in collaboration with the local and national business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing leadership and proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables;
  • Providing expert advice and demonstrating advanced technical skills, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client;
  • Demonstrating high-level project management skills while accomplishing project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner;
  • Actively contributing to the commercial success of projects and the team and contributing to successful business development;
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of industry experience in project management or design management of rail infrastructure across civil or structural;
  • Proven experience of managing project and design delivery across multiple projects;
  • Experience of leading and contributing to bid preparation and providing technical input across all rail disciplines;
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills;
  • High-level consulting and client management skills;
  • Tertiary qualification / engineering degree;
  • Certified Professional Engineer or on their way to attaining;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment;
