This role is an initial 2-year role with possibility of extension and is based in Brisbane CBD.You can expect some of your responsibilities to include:Apply systems engineering governance frameworks and support the project in delivering outcomesManage the identification and undertaking of all CRR systems to ensure a safe, reliable, efficient and sustainable network.Develop and manage the system to satisfy the Queensland Rail change management and review Safety and Environment Management System (SEMS), standards, specification and procedures where requiredDevelop key safety strategies and associated plans targeted at improved project delivery outcomes.Review new and existing system designs and make recommendations for improving or altering the systemsUndertake systems engineering activities through the project lifecycle – delivering all necessary content and artefacts including customer needs and required functionality, system specifications, concept of operations and assurance.Implement technical management activities including technical planning, technical risk management, and system configuration managementWhat you can bring to the role:Extensive experience in leadership of a complex major infrastructure projectExtensive knowledge of rail transport operations within a major projectExtensive knowledge of metro style railway systems including Station Systems, and telecommunications infrastructure systems, their interfaces, technical aspects and technical standards.Experience in Cybersecurity would be an added advantageAbility to build and maintain crucial stakeholder relationships within a large-scale project environmentSubstantial knowledge of governance, risk and compliance to the regulation and risk mitigation for the construction, maintenance and operation of railway infrastructureFor further information on the role, click HERE to read the position descriptionProgress that CountsWorking with Queensland Rail means being part of an exciting future where you'll welcome millions of international passengers for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
