Support Professional for Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to assist individuals with varying needs and abilities in a supportive team environment.
This role involves working in Neighbourhood Teams under the direction of a Team Leader, assisting clients to achieve their goals through a person-centred approach of 'choice and control'.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike, and possess a passion for supporting people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting clients with daily living tasks such as household duties and yard/home maintenance
- Transporting clients to appointments and shopping for/with client
- Building self-image and self-confidence through positive interactions
- Promoting independence and well-being through tailored support
- Providing personal care and manual handling assistance, including showering and bowel care
- Medical administration (if qualified)
- Administration tasks such as daily journal reporting
- An enthusiastic and empathetic approach
- Strong listening and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Experience working in mental health (desired)
