Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to assist individuals with varying needs and abilities in a supportive team environment.

This role involves working in Neighbourhood Teams under the direction of a Team Leader, assisting clients to achieve their goals through a person-centred approach of 'choice and control'.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike, and possess a passion for supporting people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting clients with daily living tasks such as household duties and yard/home maintenance
  • Transporting clients to appointments and shopping for/with client
  • Building self-image and self-confidence through positive interactions
  • Promoting independence and well-being through tailored support
  • Providing personal care and manual handling assistance, including showering and bowel care
  • Medical administration (if qualified)
  • Administration tasks such as daily journal reporting
Requirements:
  • An enthusiastic and empathetic approach
  • Strong listening and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Experience working in mental health (desired)
