Job Overview

This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a specialist, you will play a key part in providing comprehensive medical services while contributing to the education and supervision of junior medical staff.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and skilled physician with specialist registration in Geriatric Medicine or approaching fellowship and specialist registration. You will be instrumental in shaping clinical practices, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the hospital's commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in using clinical information systems are essential for this role.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Physician in Geriatric Medicine (or approaching fellowship and specialist registration).
  • Recent clinical experience in Geriatric Medicine, ideally within a comparable service setting.
  • A strong commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary care and the ability to lead and inspire a clinical team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in using clinical information systems.
