Providing exceptional care and support to seniors is at the heart of this role. As a Resident Services Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our residents and providing them with peace of mind.

The Role

We are seeking individuals who can work overnight sleepover shifts and weekends. These shifts involve working in the evening and then sleeping on site to be available for any emergencies throughout the night.

  • Develop strong relationships with residents and monitor their health and wellbeing
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls, provide first aid and collaborate with emergency services when necessary
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in common areas
  • Support the food service team and assist with dining room duties
  • Ensure a safe working environment by acting as first aid officer and fire evacuation warden

Roster hours vary, but you will have the opportunity to multitask across a number of core responsibilities. To succeed in this role, you must be confident in your ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing employment)
  • A valid Working with Vulnerable People check (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing employment)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience working with older adults and an understanding of their unique needs
