About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in the Hornsby area. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay engaged and connected with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management and mobility assistance.
  • Offer respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a helping hand when needed.
  • Transport customers to appointments and social events, promoting independence and mobility.

Requirements
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel and transport customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
