About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Garment Technician to join our dynamic team at Frontline Recruitment, a leading Australian-owned fashion retailer. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and fit for our men's and children's ranges.

Main Responsibilities
  • Product Development & Fit: Collaborate with our design team to guarantee all garments meet premium quality, fit, and performance standards for both men's and children's collections.
  • Technical Specifications: Create detailed tech packs, including measurements, trims, and fabric specifications for all styles.
  • Pattern Corrections & Adjustments: Work closely with pattern makers and manufacturers to resolve fit and construction issues, maintaining a high level of consistency across our products.
  • Quality Control: Oversee fabric testing, garment sampling, and production runs to ensure that quality control standards are met.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to guarantee accurate garment construction, fabric sourcing, and timely production schedules.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot any garment issues during production, proposing solutions to resolve technical or design challenges.
What We Offer

We provide a competitive salary package of AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus generous staff discounts and a supportive work culture.

Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Garment Technician or in a similar technical garment role, ideally within menswear or children's fashion.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and garment fit, with hands-on experience in pattern making, grading, and garment fitting.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in technical specifications, garment testing, and quality control processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly, providing effective solutions during the design, development, and production phases.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using garment tech packs, Adobe Illustrator, and other relevant design and technical software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
