Disability Support Worker Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team of Disability Support Workers.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people with disabilities, providing care and support to enable them to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain individual support plans, behaviour support plans, and health care plans.
  • Participate in community activities within a Supported Independent Living environment.
  • Monitor and review client support plans, adopting a person-centred approach.
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for clients to develop new skills.
  • Document client progress and changes through detailed record-keeping.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or above in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care).
  • National Police Check Clearance.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • NDIS Worker Clearance Certificate or Yellow Card.
  • Experience in working with individuals with challenging behaviours.
  • Safe handling of food experience.
  • Medication management experience.
  • NDIS Orientation Module completion.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate (Fully vaccinated).
  • Two professional references.
  • Current QLD Driver's License.
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance.

Please note: Due to the support needs of our clients, you must be available to work a varied shift pattern across a regular 24/7 roster, including short shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
