This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Disability Support Worker, working with clients based in Ballarat.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and care to individuals with physical disabilities, enabling them to live independent and dignified lives. You will work collaboratively with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals, to provide comprehensive support services.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with a physical disability, including manual handling, and will possess good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and support to clients, including PEG feeding, catheter care and bowel care
  • Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Supporting clients to engage in community activities and access community facilities
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement client plans
  • Monitoring and reporting client progress and any changes or concerns
