Job Description:

The Process Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in operational risk management across the health insurance business.

This is a high-impact position where you will collaborate with leaders to ensure robust controls are embedded in day-to-day operations, supporting compliance and performance.

You will lead the identification and documentation of operational risks and controls within key processes, including system-based controls.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the identification and documentation of operational risks and controls
  • Supporting process owners in identifying control gaps and uplifting controls to reduce risk and increase efficiency
  • Embedding and maintaining risk and control documentation within process maps
  • Ensuring process controls remain current, effective, and well-integrated into operations
  • Upskilling and coaching process owners to own and manage risks and controls
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and becoming a valued advisor on operational risk
  • Fostering a continuous improvement mindset and team culture that values safe, customer-centric process excellence
  • Managing and delivering multiple risk initiatives concurrently
Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in process improvement, operational risk, or compliance, ideally within health insurance or a regulated environment.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk Management, or a related field.

Demonstrated success leading risk/control initiatives and embedding control frameworks into operational processes.

Deep understanding of risk principles and process mapping tools, and experience working with GRC platforms.

Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams and business units.
