Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Total Rewards Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for key total rewards processes and daily functions of the Human Resources department across functional areas with a specific focus on compensation program execution.
This role will involve annual compensation cycle administration, incentive compensation administration, retirement benefit administration, benefits reconciliations, open enrollment, health and welfare benefit administration, and coordination with payroll, as well as managing other projects and priorities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with HR personnel on employee onboarding and offboarding processes with a focus on new hire compensation, payroll and benefits orientation and organizational change administration.
Collaborate with the Director, Total Rewards in the administration of total reward programs including: base and incentive compensation administration, leave management, retirement benefits, payroll, etc.) to ensure seamless transition throughout employee life cycle.
Responsible for specific compensation and benefits programs and processes including job profiles/descriptions, job benchmarking/evaluation, execution of both annual and ad hoc compensation changes, benefits program communications and training and Workday administrative processes.
Serve as a backup on benefit administration, recordkeeping and system maintenance
Back up the creation, implementation, and communication of total rewards related learning programs to meet functional and/or organizational needs.
Manage and maintain Workday HCM modules including, Compensation, Benefits, Leave Management. Lead efforts to implement and improve new functionality and support testing during bi-annual releases. Generate and analyze metrics, evaluations, pulse surveys and status reports.
Work closely with HR and IT department team members as well as system vendors in continuous improvement and simplification of HR processes.
Assist the Director, Total Rewards with Bank-wide compliance activities such as risk assessments, incident reporting and resolution, vendor management, and business continuity.
Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
Accurately and responsively respond to all leadership and staff concerns and questions, referring issues to other HR personnel as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources or business or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.
PHR/SHRM-CP or compensation/benefits certifications preferred.
Knowledge of federal, local and state employment laws and understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
Experience in compensation and benefits administrative process, in a fast paced, service oriented environment.
Experience in HRMS administration and application tracking system; experience with Workday HCM including compensation, benefits and onboarding is preferred.
Able to operate computerized and standard office equipment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Conscientious, organized, passion for high quality detailed oriented work.
High level of self-initiative; strong prioritization skills and works with minimal supervision.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of presentations.
