About the Role

Seqwater is a leading water business with a diverse asset base and operations spanning across Southeast Queensland. As the company embarks on an exciting period of expansion, they are embracing new technologies and sustainable practices to meet the growing needs of the region.

The Manager - Commercial and Contract Management will play a pivotal role in enabling business success through leadership of Seqwater's Commercial and Contract Management function in the delivery of the capital program.

With a focus on partnering approaches and value optimisation, the successful candidate will lead the transformation of Seqwater's commercial and contract management functions ensuring best value is achieved for Seqwater and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of specialists fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Develop strategies, practices and procedures that will enhance the commercial management of major capital contracts to ensure best value for Seqwater.
  • Provide guidance in developing commercial framework/s and contracting models required for the successful delivery of projects.
  • Manage commercial and performance risks and facilitate successful delivery of projects.
  • Drive functional transformation through system, process and capability improvement ensuring agility and adaptability.
  • Lead the negotiation of various agreements and facilitate the resolution of contract conflicts or issues that could impact effective service delivery or create undue risk for Seqwater.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary commercial and contract management approaches.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated application in strategic thinking and hands-on operational execution.
  • Significant experience leading commercial and contract management functions in a large, complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with exceptional stakeholder management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilise data to drive insights to inform evidence-based decision making.
