Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist

The role of Senior Sonographer Maternal Fetal Medicine involves leading with precision and purpose, shaping the future of fetal diagnostics and care at a leading tertiary referral centre.
As an expert in medical imaging, you will be responsible for performing complex clinical procedures with a high degree of competency.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Medical Imaging procedures to a high standard and ensure diagnostic imaging is available to clinicians.
- Maintain safety in the unit and current knowledge of advanced ultrasound practices.
- Evaluate and audit work quality, manage staff performance, and allocate staff to ensure service coverage.
- Complete mandatory training, participate in development activities, and develop ongoing self-improvement in collaboration with leadership.
- Establish clinical protocols, support Continuous Quality Improvement, and liaise with technical experts regarding equipment purchases and installations.
- Current AHPRA registration to work as a Radiographer, MRPB of Australia, and valid EPA Radiation Licence.
- Post graduate experience in medical ultrasound with accreditation as a Sonographer with ASAR.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical protocols, manuals, quality assurance, and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex clinical procedures within specialist modality with a high degree of competency.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with ability to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, lead change, and accept responsibility.
