Senior Sonographer Maternal Fetal Medicine

As a senior sonographer in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit, you will play a key role in shaping the future of fetal diagnostics and care. You will lead with precision and purpose, providing high-quality medical imaging and performing complex clinical procedures with a high degree of competency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and auditing work quality, managing staff performance, and appraising staff as needed.
  • Completing mandatory training and participating in development activities as required by management.
  • Establishing clinical protocols, supporting Continuous Quality Improvement, and liaising with technical teams regarding equipment purchases and installations.

Key qualifications and criteria include:

  • Current registration to work as a Radiographer, with accreditation as a Sonographer with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
  • Post-graduate experience in medical ultrasound with demonstrated knowledge of and experience in establishing clinical protocols, manuals, quality assurance, and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex clinical procedures within the specialist modality with a high degree of competency.
